High quality inkjet reproduction print of a Longnose Skate. Professionally printed on handmade mulberry paper with visible fibers by a local print shop in Portland, Oregon.
The skate was gifted to me by Big Fish Lab, and it was originally printed with sumi ink and archival oil. I still remember first time seeing this skate up close and being fascinated by its thorn denticles and its purple color near the nose. Other colors were added (somewhat accidentally) from previous prints that I did in Prussian blue and I leaned into it.
Comes in various sizes from 24"x24" to 10" x 10" as loose reproductions. Made to order. Free shipping. Please allow 2-3 weeks until you receive it.
**Please note: Since the paper was made by hand with natural and unprocessed materials, and it will have some spots, specks, or even flecks of bark embedded in the paper. This is normal and it cannot be avoided. (See additional photos)
