Through my art, I want to share my love of the ocean, and to spark your curiosity. My artwork is a medium for showcasing the fascinating intricate designs and beauty we are surrounded by in the Pacific Northwest. 

Gyo-Ta-Ku (魚拓)

A technique for getting an impression of a fish by applying ink and then getting a rubbing onto a piece of paper. Traditionally developed in Japan for recording your catch. Oldest recorded known gyotaku is from 1839. 

Cyanotype

A photographic process that was discovered in 1842 by using iron salts and UV light to create the distinctive Prussian blue print. Anna Atkin published the first photographically illustrated book on British seaweed.
